Real measure of any time management technique is whether or not it helps you to neglect the right things
Pay yourself first - block out time for yourself, work on most important project for first hour of each day
Limit your WIP - have max 3 projects
Resist allure of middling priorities - Buffett says ‘have 25 tasks, actively reject the bottom 20.’
Patience:
Develop a task of having problems. No problems = meaningless
Embrace radical incrementalism - small chunks daily that compound
Originality lies on the far side of unoriginality - Finnish bus station story.
Questions to ask yourself
Where in your life are you currently pursuing comfort when what is needed is a little discomfort? For big decisions, ask “does this choice diminish me or enlarge me”
Are you holding yourself to productivity standards impossible to meet?
In what ways have you yet to accept the fact that you are who you are?
In which areas of life are you still holding back until you feel like you know what you’re doing?
How you would spend your days differently if you didn’t care so much about seeing your actions reach fruition?
