Incredible story of JD Vance and his upbringing. I had no idea how rough he had it. The book is less about politics, and more about the upbringing of ‘hillbillies’, and ultimately asking the question of the reader of ‘how can this be improved?’. Would recommend. I read this in 2 sittings whilst on a spa weekend and mostly in the sauna, so the pages have fallen out as the glue melted.
